🔽 Denby Bourne Derbyshire Carriage Foot Warmer, Antique circa 1890 - 1910-ish

Imagine going to church, or getting in your late 1800's car, and carrying this item with you to keep your feet warm? In winter, people would fill these with hot water and use them to warm their feet while covering themselves in blankets. Made by Denby Bourne Pottery in Derbyshire, England (see photo of stamp/marking that says: "DENBY BOURNE DERBY",) this 1809 English pottery company is still in business today. This antique pottery is 100% intact: No chips or cracks, and the screw-on top, which is also made of pottery, is also 100% intact, still functioning after all these years and no chips or cracks. If you like using antique pottery as decor in your home, or if you collect antique pottery, this is a catch. Salt-glazed, brown and tan/cream color, it is also stamped with "3Pt". Plus it's ink-stamped H/B inside a diamond on top. The brown end has a handle to carry it around. It can also be stood up on its unglazed end, where it's marked. 11.75" long x 6" tall. This is a rare find in the U.S. and it's even more rare to find one in excellent condition.
