gatorval @tgardner2011 most definitely. I normally wear mediums, but I bought this in a small because the material is stretchy, and it is a loose skirt to begin with. The medium made me look too big and had too much material. This fit me perfectly.

gatorval @tgardner2011 I just pulled out the skirt to look at it :) it will definitely fit a medium. The skirt is not see through, unless light is shining directly through it. Like, I held it up to a lamp and then I could see the shadow of the lamp behind it but not colors. I'm a very conscious person about that stuff, too, and I would NEVER purchase something that would look inappropriate or allow people to see certain things. I never had that problem with this skirt. Honestly, the skirt wasn't tight on my at all. It the band around the top is stretchy and it would fit me on my waist all the way down to my abdominal area. It would settle on my hips, but not in a tight way at all. It was just less loose there. I'm about five foot five and the front fell to my knee if I wore it around my lower waist, and about an inch above my knee if I wore it on my waist :). If you want more pictures or anything, just let me know. I'm looking at the skirt right now so it won't be a bother. That's me in the picture wearing it. You can see it's a dark blue and not see through at all. And you can see how loose it is and where the front falls relative to my height.

gatorval @tgardner2011 also you do not need to wear any specific undergarment under it. The front is low enough that you don't have to worry about the skirt flying up in wind or when you sit thus showing your underwear, and the back and hip area fit me loose enough where I wasn't required to wear a thong to prevent underwear lines from showing. You can literally wear anything from spanx/boy shorts, to a string thong, and it won't show through.

gatorval @tgardner2011 in fact looking at the model pictures, it fit me more loose than what it for that model. It wasn't as tight around the hips, and the skirt didn't fall like that on my butt. It fell on the top of my butt, but didn't go back down. It was more relaxed and less forming.

tgardner2011 @gatorval would u mind posting a couple more pics? And is it a soft material? I'm wondering what kind of shirt u would wear with it? And I'm just assuming u don't weigh very much.. Lol

gatorval @tgardner2011 I'll take more pics now. And I weigh 140. And don't worry! I'm the same way. Before I buy something, especially online, I have to make sure it's perfect. I would match the skirt with different color tank tops and spaghetti strap shirts and then add a belt and matching sandals. When I wanted to dress it up, I'd add a jacket and wedges. People more confident in their bodies wear crop tops with it lol. I love that look, I just can't pull it off right now haha. I've also seen those chiffon shirts and those sleeveless shirts that tie in the front worn with it, as well.

gatorval @tgardner2011 no you don't seem pathetic! I'd investigate before buying anything, too! It really depends on the style you are going for. If you want to dress it up, you can wear wedges. If you are going for a more casual look, then sandals or flip flops match it (super cute coverup for a bathing suit or to walk on the beach). You can even wear cowboy boots with it! I have a pair myself I've worn with the skirt and a tank top
