Deruta Italian handmade pitcher

Handpainted and handmade Deruta Italian pitcher with a unique mother-of-pearl, metallic lustre and has unique floral decorative features. Deruta, a walled city atop a hill overlooking the Tiber Valley, is located near Perugia in the center of Umbria, just to the south of Tuscany. Evidence of terracotta pottery production dates back to Roman times. Production records date from the thirteenth century to the present. Unfortunately the lid is chipped in two places. It still looks great without the lid for display, or worth the minor cost to fix it, or just take it as is because it’s a DERUTA! I have yet to find a similar pitcher with the lid so it might be rare.
