3rdhousevintage @bella_giornata no rips, tears or fraying. Hem is clean even where the back forms a small train. There is one very faint dot on the front that could come out because the fabric is very sturdy.

einglese Hi there, I tried to send a private message but perhaps that isn't possible. I'm interested in the dress though I'd be making you a more modest offer as I've seen other similar Galliano gowns sell for quite a bit less. I live in Los Angeles and would be interested in trying the dress on as its an expensive dress. Would that be possible?

3rdhousevintage @einglese hi, sorry, I don’t have notifications on for this app 😬 I’ve also moved so the dress is now in Michigan. The same dress is in 1st Dibs for $21,000 but someone dyed it black. I understand wanting to try it on and see it in person — let me explore how we could make that happen. Maybe I can send it to a friend in LA….

3rdhousevintage @naiaxstar I paid $8000 in 1996. Someone on 1st Dibs is selling one they dyed black for $6000 but it’s not original — Galliano never sold this in black. And someone on 1st Dibs is asking $20,000. I bought it from Joyce Boutique in Hong Kong in 1996.

3rdhousevintage @marglas2 it’s viscose, so it’s silky inside and matte on the outside. Heavy-ish, so the bias cut drapes beautifully.
