I wasn’t as into pink as much back then), I had an expert assess it recently - she specializes in authenticating Dior across decades. Her assessment was that judging by the tags, code, font & style, this piece is Christian Dior SS97 , John Galliano’s monumental debut at the revered French Fashion house. A cropped blazer Made from 100% wool, which is woven into a tweed texture,, and lined in silk. Made in France this piece is beautifully cut with fabric covered buttons, chic hemmed cuffs & exaggerated lapels and front pockets. Many think pieces have been written about John Galliano’s debut at Dior in 97 and how his theatrical, dramatic and ultimately avant garde approach left a lasting impression on the brand.
