yoga4joy Maybe it’s people unactive on the app! I’ve yet to have this happen with a purchase (as a buyer) but I often ask a question or engage in some way before I purchase and I feel like that gives me an assurance! I hope this never happens again, seriously annoying to be excited for something and never receive it! My guess is that it’s ppl who cross post & the item has already sold elsewhere and they were too slow to update. Posh has a more forgiving cancellation policy than most.

nici_nini @gypsysoulbd I was reading through your comments, I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing. I wrote to poshmark & said if they have been inactive for 6 or more months they need to be deleted/removed from the app so active sellers or active buyers can be matched with people who are buying/selling. But I also can’t stand the people who just “like” stuff, like window shopping with no intention of buying. 🙄

nici_nini @yoga4joy I was reading the comments, write to poshmark like I did. The more people that write in, the more likely they will listen & make changes. If you read the comment above, I’ve already been very proactive in doing this already. That & the “window shoppers”. Who just ride out on a like but have no intention of buying. OR the folks who have debit cards that magically “don’t work” before a transaction.

yoga4joy @nici_nini you’re right it’s not a partnership like it should be we work for posh. They make so much of their users It’s actually genius but it’s not exactly a thoughtful thing it’s business. I’ve experienced similar. I think a lot of people think they have more money to spend than they do and posh could be better about adding up the total before the bitter end. I bet thousands of buyers back out on the payment screen each day, with added tax & shipping. It scares buyers off.

nici_nini @yoga4joy well once they “submit” their offer, it’s locked in. Posh shouldn’t allow use of debit cards, it should be credit only. That would keep it fair to all & less of us would have the issue of poshers “backing out” per se.

nici_nini @yoga4joy I know I personally save up posh credits to purchase but lately it’s been so dry with sales, I haven’t purchased anything & I feel horrible because I know people are waiting to sell. But that’s why I decided to temporarily close; it’s too much screen time for me between my actual job & this it’s too much screen time.

nici_nini @gypsysoulbd oh I definitely have done the same but I always message the seller to let them know what’s up. I never leave anyone hanging, that’s for sure. But I will be keeping my closet just a temporary close. I’m spending too much time on my computer (because we are now working from home) & my phone (for poshmark). Before I wasn’t online with my computer because I was in person. Ugh!

I have to buy a new printer so I can ship things fast again. B4 pandemic it was less than 2 days. Some are stuck in unfortunate circumstances. I sympathize w yr frustration. gypsysoulbd @bohospacechic I totally have compassion. I'm referring to the ones who NEVER ship an item. I had over 30 of those last year. It was mostly from people who are not active on here. Some who are but just didn't ever reply to me or Posh. Hence they shouldn't sell. If it's a struggle they should reach out. That's just good business. I've had lots of people tell me their frustrations on this before this meme was ever posted. It was more of a heads-up/joke at the same time.

carm3838 This has happened to me frequently, the shipping late. I have talked to the seller, purchased the item 6 days later and it’s still not shipped.. they wait until the very last day. I didn’t notice this going on until the pandemic when Poshmark extended shipping time 🙄 I waited until I bought a printer before I started my closet so I would never do that to anyone.. 🌺💚✌🏼

I have continued to send messages.. then this morning she sends a message back and says oh yeah I cancelled your order because I sold the backpack on another platform and I forgot to delete the listing. 11 days with my money No shipping, no communication and then cancels telling me she sold it awhile ago!!! AND she’s an ambassador!!!!! Anyway am I wrong here for being UPSET?

aracelisaenz or sellers that after you pay for the items, they decide to cancel your purchase just to add 2 more dollars on what they are selling. This happened to me yesterday. I bought my child some dolls. She was so excited and the seller had cancelled my purchase without letting me know just to add $2 dollars more and sold it to someone else.😡

The only difference was the excuses given! I had to deal with it, & they are still active - with no consequences. Thank you for listening to me vent!!!
