Dooney and Bourke all weather leather collection Calvary bag rare circa 1980’s pre tag bag in new with tags condition. Dead stock, New never used purchased at macys original tag still on. This French blue bag features key hole latch , exterior and interior slip pockets, detachable adjustable crossbody strap. Hardware , rivets all Dooney monogrammed. This bag might exhibit shelf wear from 40 years of storage. Monogram tag in inner pocket with no leather loop. Rubbing on extremities , light scuffs and scratches may be present. handbagz4dayz Beautiful Cavalry scout! Looks to be in really good condition. The color may be denim blue based on the bright colored interior.

cococuriosities @handbagz4dayz aww thank you 🥰 You know, I had the same thought but I have a denim loden set & the color did not match either. It was closest to the French blue, but even still a little more concentrated. I have sometimes seen 80’s dooneys coloring look a little more rich compared to its 90’s colors. I think it makes them more beautiful Have a good weekend ☺️

cococuriosities @handbagz4dayz yes they do overlap! If it wasn’t for the stickers sometimes I wouldn’t have ever realized. I think there might have also been some early colors they discontinued as they began scaling up production in the 90’s

cococuriosities @handbagz4dayz not on this tag, there was no serial color sticker with barcode, it’s only the macys tag. I think they started putting those in the 1990’s. My denim loden from the 90’s has the sticker under the interior pocket flap and on duck tag.

schoolofrock11 @cococuriosities If I recall correctly, lodens were made after they discontinued denim blue , so likely ,unless it was exclusive color, the Lodens are French blue.

cococuriosities @schoolofrock11 It was a custom order or specially requested because this loden has Denim as the color on the white sticker tag under the interior flap. It’s definitely very rare, if not possibly one of a kind so I am hanging on to it forever ☺️
