If you registered it I'd send it back to D&B to repair. The straps shouldn't have bled ink or whatever caused the black stain from the straps. That's a defect and they'll probably just send you another one. My sister had her bag for 7 yrs. It was one of the more expensive ones but the tubing started ripping. They still repaired it for $50. In your case it shouldn't cost you a dime.
