This is a Doulton Lambeth water jug, a tall stoneware tapered conical shaped jug or pitcher. It features the classic Doulton Lambeth color combination of rich blues and browns. The main body has a distinctive clear glazed ribbed decoration, while the top has roundel and leaf decoration on a brown and blue background.
Impressed Doulton Lambeth England on the base. This piece of stoneware pottery was produced by the Doulton & Co. factory in Lambeth, London, England known for their high-quality stoneware. In 1902, the company became Royal Doulton. This mark was used between 1891 and 1902. Also marked with a lower case D and two lines used by Doulton artist Olive Dale.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide x 7 3/4 inches tall.
