20.5 inches from pit to pit. Dress hangs straight, so waist is also 20.5 from left to right; then you would tie around the waist to your suiting. Downeast clothing brand runs large for me; at the time I purchased it, sizing chart indicated a large was equivalent to a 10/12 (I'm a 10).

The built-in slip would be the 2% spandex component, the outer shell is polyester crepe which isn't stretchy on its own. I'm 5ft 4in, 142lbs, 38DD and it is by no means form fitting-it has room! Hope this helps!👍🏻
