These Dr. (Doc) Martens are vintage from the early 90s. Still from the Made in England days. Soles show little to know signs of wear. The tops are just starting to be broken in. The insoles have dried up over the years so they’ll need to be replaced. But anyone who knows and loves Docs knows these are just getting good and have decades of wear time left in them! Vintage wingtip/saddle shoe styling and vintage (30 years old), hard to find classic Docs. Will add to your punk or school girl stylings this season! Say size 6 but that is a men’s 6. They measure as a women’s docs size 8 (39). But docs run a little big, so I’m a traditional street size 8.5 and take the 8 in docs. The bottom of the sole measures 11” which is about the measurement of a size 8 doc marten produced today (last two pics). Any otheothothothothothothothr questions, pleasers ask!

angswann Hi! Are these shoes size 6 UK or size 6 US? Do you have the measurement for the length of the shoes? I need a US size 6 and would love to purchase but I’m thinking these are probably marked in the UK size (which is a US 8). Thanks!

auchickie @angswann hi, The European size is a 36, if that helps. I’m a size 8.5 and my euro size is a 39. So I think these would be a true women’s 6. That being said, I’ve always found docs run a little big. I’ll measure the sole length (which is different from the inside length cuz they’ve got so much going on outside) in a little bit when I get upstairs. Will compare to some size 8 docs I have up there too.

angswann @auchickie An EU size 36 would be my size (roughly a US 5.5-6) but normally docs from pre-2003 with a single size stamp are UK sizes. I’ve owned quite a few pairs over the years, including some bought new during that era and they were always stamped size 4 (or occasionally 3 but those were a tight fit). Let me know the measurement and hopefully I’m wrong! 😉

auchickie @angswann oohhh, I think you’re right! I think they’re actually probably a 39! I measured them and they’re about 11 inches long. I measured another size 8/39 that I have and their sole is also 11 inches! And when I tried them on again, they fit like a docs 8! So I think these would be too big for you! What does the bottom of your 6/36 measure? I’m gonna update the listing. So good you checked and sorry for getting that wrong!

angswann @auchickie Those are definitely too big for me, my feet are like 8.6 inches long (I’m technically a 5.5W US sizing). Most of my size 4UK/6US are around 9.25-9.5 inches long (depending on the shape of the sole and if there’s a heel). Glad we could clear that up! My loss is someone else’s gain!! :)

auchickie @angswann oh for sure, way too big for you! I never wear brown so I can’t keep these, but man I hope they find a good home with someone who appreciates them! Sounds like they missed out with you. 🤗
