I ended up with multiple pairs of this style, and only wore this particular pair for a couple hours. Only a few, very minor, light surface scuffs/marks, consistent with regular wear. No broken elastic threads. I really love this style of boot, and wear my other pair all the time! The elastic makes them so easy and convenient to put on & go.
