Dragonware Moriage Teacup & Saucer Vintage Demitasse Espresso Hand Painted Japan

Stunning matte black, gray with some blue and gold demi teacup by Betsons Japan. The dragon or serpent curls around the outside of the cup and plate made in moriage of fine layers of slip clay. Dragonware dates from the 1880’s to mid-century. The interior of the cup is the color of mother of pearl and very shiny. Approximate measurements: Cup 2" high x 2 3/4" / Plate 4 3/4" wide x 1" high Weight 5.2 oz. Great vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is small amount of wear to the gold; see photos.
