The Gilded Age Sateen historical outfit consists of 2 pieces - a free flowing skirt and a bodice with a puff sleeve known as leg-o -mutton sleeves. The fitted bodice featured high necks and wrist-length sleeves and was suitable for Morning wear. It has a closure of 7 buttons covered with the same material as the bodice. The 22" bodice is fitted using darts and insets. The bodice is modestly trimmed with 2" standup collar including a 1" black lace trim The leg-o-mutton sleeves are slightly gathered at the shoulder. The 21" sleeves (from shoulder to wrist) have 5" cuffs with 5 button closure, covered with the same material as the bodice. The 39" gored skirt has elastic waist and includes an elaborate trim with an elaborate 11" ruffle trim at the hem. The elastic waist is 28" without stretching.
