DuPont Corfam White Dress Shoes Strap Buckle 9.5 D B Sterling Oak Sole VTG 1970s Vintage pair of solid off-white dress shoes. My dad received these shoes for Christmas 1972. (I've included a picture of that event in this listing, as well as a picture of him all dressed up and wearing them in May 1973! Photos are are not included with the shoes.) Size 9.5 D/B. Stamped on the inside sole: DuPont Corfam Corfam was a synthetic material developed by Dupont to replace leather and introduced to the public in 1964. It’s production was discontinued in 1971. Stamped on the bottom sole: Sterling Oak Stamped on heel: Vulcan Features: strap & buckle Pre-owned. These shoes exhibit normal signs of wear consistent with their age, including frays, discoloration, scuffing etc. We have done nothing to restore them other than pulled them out of storage, brushed the dust off of them and cleaned off some scuffs. Discoloration and other flaws are illustrated in the images.
