tattoocherry @urbanlove thank you! It looks burgundy in the chest area only bc that spot was still wet but I couldn't wait till it dried to take the pic lol. I'll post a better pic when it's dry so you can see. So funky!

tattoocherry @urbanlove I couldn't believe the tattered took the dye this time! This is the same one I tried to dye brown (and failed miserably, it just looked like darker white). Now I have 2 orange bc I just got the peachy one from loopholer! Sigh, at least they're different shades.

urbanlove @tattoocherry sometimes once you dye it one color it takes better the second time ! That's why it's so intense ! I know pokie uses the charchol to dye plum

tattoocherry @urbanlove I used Tulip fabric dye for the mint, it came out so evenly! Shocking considering this skirt is like 5 yards of fabric! For everything else I tried the Rit liquid dye. I used a full bottle to get everything as rich as I could. Highly recommended!!

urbanlove @tattoocherry Nice I have tons of rit liquid and powder and tons of tulip !! It's going to be an addiction

tattoocherry @urbanlove I still have a lot to learn, but these were all either things I've had forever, or that were cheap bc they weren't perfect. I actually couldn't believe the girl shipped me this Sloan, it was a hot mess when I got it!! Trying to make the best out of a bad posh 😂

urbanlove @tattoocherry I have a whole huge container of white cheap Jadas and American eagle dresses ! I bought just to play
Jul 10Reply
tattoocherry
tattoocherry @urbanlove oh I was steamed, it wasn't cheap! Super pilled, had a hole, was unwashed/covered in fuzz and stuff, ugh. (None of which was mentioned of course!) I put a lot of work into making it decent before dyeing because I wanted a rust one so bad. (I have the maroon and black but you know me...I need 3!)

tattoocherry @urbanlove ooh I just got my first Jada from my trade with Rocksan, omg I am HOOKED! So soft and cute. I have a white one on the way, maybe I can make it forest green.

urbanlove @tattoocherry that's exactly how this slip was i just got. Piling croquet parts busted Insane just shoved in a box dirty. I tried not to get too upset it wasn't a cheap one either. I'll make it pretty but I can't resell it thank god it fits at least.

urbanlove Omg I got 3 orders this week that were faded and piled. Such a waste. One I traded a dress for and the strap on the Cami was busted Lololo anther trade I got stained unraveled NWT things. Ok. I only want to buy from put large FP circle in here I don't trust buying / trading within random people after this week ! I don't have money to burn
Jul 10Reply

urbanlove The white jadas are even softer so lightweight. Great for dying !! And hot Phoenix ! I love them made in Italy !!!
Jul 10Reply
tattoocherry
tattoocherry @urbanlove I was so impressed with the quality of the jada! A whole new rabbit hole to go down lol. The pics of everything I dyed don't even do them justice, this is making them look more yellow/gold than they are...the dye I used is called Harvest, it's a really pretty soft rust color. Trying the teal today 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

dmitten52 I'm a huge fan of dyeing your own fabrics and these pieces are so beautiful! Love this color! What dyes did you use?

dmitten52 I apologize, I see above where you mentioned it! You got really good color retention. How long did you soak and did you do the salt bath beforehand? I used the Rits but the color faded terribly after the first wash.
