This very rare pitcher is a great find. A nice piece to add to a glass ware collection. Would be a beautiful piece to use during the holidays when serving breakfast or brunch. Put your favorite syrup in it.
Good condition, clear, no damages, etched / cut motif of bids and flowers all around, lock lid, made by Ohio Flint Glass / Jefferson, model T-540 circa 1919.
The Jefferson Glass Company had its origin at Steuben- ville, Ohio, where it was chartered in 1900, but in 1908 came to Follansbee because of the attraction offered by the possibility of gas facilities in the operation of the plant.
Chippendale' glass was launched in 1907 in America and registered as a trademark by the Jefferson Glass Co. in 1911. It was imported into Britain by Charles Pratt's National Glass Co. C. 1930 Pratt purchased the moulds from America and had the glass made in Britain by Davidson.
