EAPG (Early American Pattern Glass" Made in America during the Victorian period. Called "Pressed Wear" commercially were used by most.
Nearly all early glass was hand made, and as a result may have light surface lines and swirls (straw marks) as well as glass bubbles and mold seam lines. These are normal and acceptable for EAPG glass. This Spooner has only one bubble that I was able to find. "see last photo" This piece has a lavender color that covers the petals. The gilded accents are still very present and makes this an exceptional rare find. Free of any chips and cracks.
Measures 4" high and 5" diameter on top. There is an iridescent look to it that sometimes fades the gilded coloring when it hits lights. Even more beautiful in person.
