mollexcloset @peonytrang Hi! I will put the bag on the scale for you when I get home and give you an exact weight. It is not heavy at all. As for the material, I don't think it's straw. It's a pretty thick material. It may be raffia - I wish I knew more about the material. I will get a measurement on the thickness of the material to you as well.

mollexcloset @peonytrang Hi! The bag weighs 1 pound, 1 ounce. The material is about 1/4 inch thick. When you rub your fingers against it, it feels like rope, as it is tightly woven. I hope this helps!
