This was such an amazing dress! I received so many compliments. It is ivory lace with a nude lining, which helps the lace pattern really pop. The pattern of the lace has a Great Gatsby feel. There are also sequins sewn into the lace, giving it just the right amount of sparkle. I purchased this dress from a bride last year who had bought it new in Australia, with no alterations. It came to me in perfect condition. I wore it for about 4 hours, then changed into a different dress for dancing at the reception. It is still in beautiful condition! My favorite thing about the dress was actually the bustle I had put in. The seamstress used snaps hidden in the seems to create a french-style under bustle with three tiers at the back, which gave it that beautiful "Beauty and the Beast" ballroom look. However the lace was a bit too heavy for the snaps, and some of the bustle fell out during the father-daughter dance. I would recommend replacing the buttons with ribbon ties to make the bustle more secure. ALTERATIONS: Bustle alteration as described above involved trimming about six inches off the very long train. I also had the hips let out as far as they would go to allow for my 39 inch hips. Can be taken back in. Length of dress trimmed for my 5'4" height to allow my 2.5 inch heels to peek out in the front. The arm holes were a bit tight and chaffed so they were adjusted for comfort. Nude foam pads were installed in the bust to give the breast cup more shape and support.
