Does the pattern/fade when stretched? I have a pair of these in black and I love them, however, some pattern colored fabric “when stretched” distresses the color. Does these do that?

@jillianwolters I haven’t noticed that with these leggings.. but that may be because I had to get them in a 6 because the 4 was too snug in waist, but perfect everywhere else.. the 6 are perfect in waist but could be tighter everywhere else.. I think the stretch/fade thing happens when leggings are super tight.. hope this helps!

@jamesleigh18 so true! I’ve seen this happen with other products, where I buy a design or colored fabric and I like my leggings tight but the fabric doesn’t look good when stretch a lot.

@jillianwolters according to lululemon site, it means the leggings are too tight.. but they’re often too big when I go up a size 🙄 I think I’m between xs and s so it’s often hard to find a good brand in leggings. It’s super annoying.

@jillianwolters for reference, my natural waist is about 26.5” and my hips about 33”... the 4 was perfect but squeezed stomach area too much because of the waist band style on these.. the 6 are slightly too big but perfect in waist..

@jamesleigh18 you and I are the same measurements. I have a pair of aligns in a size 6, they fit perfect in the waist but not as tight everywhere else.

@jillianwolters ah then you would prob need 6 too.. these are the only lululemon I’ve ever tried so I’m always skeptical when finding other that I like online.. if it weren’t for the waistband style on these I’d prefer the 4, but don’t know how the other styles fit.

@jamesleigh18 from my experience it’s a lot of trial and error. However following people with the same body type and style works better. Also, knowing what your looking for on here rather than trying new fits and styles can be a hit or miss. Asking the right questions is crucial. For lululemon I have to find stuff that is high waisted, but also has a longer hip to waist ratio cut. Lululemon high waisted high times cut: the seam cuts too low on the hip line ( not truly a high waisted)...

They’re are high waisted via fabric, but if this the seam is sitting on my hips it creates a visual that my butt size is cut in half, also the seam in crotch is also very short giving almost a camel toe affect when trying to wear them high waisted, therefore I stay away from that style. Those are the things I look for..: familiarizing yourself with the brand more and more via websites and YouTube reviews is the best! Hope this helps 😘

@jillianwolters omg you sound like me!! I’m soooo particular and I totally understand what you’re talking about! Especially w crotch line—I feel that way with some of the high waisted Onzie leggings.. something about the short line from crotch up to seam before waist...gives that awful effect !

@jillianwolters I never thought of it in terms of hip to waist ratio.. now I think I’ll know what to look for! Thanks!! There’s a pair of lulu called “wunder under high rise” I’ve had in my likes on posh for a while, but worried about sizing.. I think they’ll have the ratio issue too! 🤣

@jamesleigh18 I prefer size 4 when I’m feeling skinny and on my fat days I prefer a size 6 lol depends on how I feel that day. But size 4 are perfect and will stay up, I notice I sometimes I have to pull up my the waist on the size 6. Only pain is that they cannot be washed with anything else but leggings and hung dry. The fabric is high maintenance but they feel amazing on ❤️👍🏻

@jillianwolters lol I hear ya on the fat/skinny days! That would prob be annoying for me since I prefer to wash most of my things together, in gentle cold wash, then hang dry.. but more than just gym clothes.. without Walls high waisted is my favorite and super bummed urban outfitters stopped selling!

@jamesleigh18 I read the conversation about fit tips, and I have a straight narrow build as well... about 28 inch waist and 33 inch hips. I have loooots of lulu gear and I’ve tried basically all the different leggings they make. The leggings that work best for me are the “in movement” (size 4 in the everlux fabric) and “train times” (size 6 since it’s the luxtreme fabric with more compression)

Both styles I mentioned have nice lines and give nice shape for the bottom and both fabrics (everlux and luxtreme) are a little more substantial than the nulu that is used for aligns. :) maybe give those a try!
