EUC Pilgrim Glass Cranberry Vase, Bedford Collection, Collectible, 3 1/4"x3 1/4"

Excellent Used Condition (no chips, cracks, etc.) Gorgeous Pilgrim Glass cranberry vase. Mid-20th century vintage; collectible. Swirl design with ruffled lip and applied clear, twisted collar from the Bedford collection. In the shape of a drawstring purse. 3 1/4" Tall x 3 1/4" Wide (widest part) x 2 5/8" Diameter (top). Note the pontil mark on the bottom, a sign that this piece is glass blown freehand vs. using a mold (last photo). From illness/smoke/pet-free home. Re: The Pilgrim Glass Co.: established in 1949 in West Virginia & best known as a premier cranberry glass maker. Though popular, the beautiful glass was not easy to make because of the volatile mix of lead oxide & gold needed to achieve the light cranberry color. It was so difficult, in fact, that other glass manufacturers rarely did it.
