This jar weighs 3.52 pounds, 9 1/2 inches tall, and has no cracks, chips or hairlines. It is hand-painted under glaze and they also made a speckled turquoise, pink, yellow and ivory. All were unmarked Red Wing jars. It reads "Happy the children-Wherever they are-Who live in a house-With a full cookie jar". !!!

Question:
As a follow up to the Happy The Children cookie jar, I have attached a picture. The jar is white with a brown fleck. The top is brown. The jar is in perfect condition and the lid is original sa compared to pictures in the books. The story from the person I purchased it from, is that the jar was purchased by his Aunt. Kurt
Answer: The brown cover is not original to this Happy cookie jar. The original cover has a slightly domed shape while this brown cover is nearly flat. The knob has a slightly different shape also. Most importantly, the original cover fit down into the jar and rested on a rim inside. This brown cover sets above the rim, not down into the jar.
