From Rarities by Carol Brodie , it is encrusted with real gemstones:white topaz as well as black spinel, and I believe amethyst. It is set in 925 Sterling Silver. It in excellent condition and measures a little over 3/4" in length by 1 1/8" from the top of the bale. Bale opens. please note there is some tarnishing to the silver but can be cleaned
