Vintage 19th Century Antique Scalloped Rim 5.75" Round VILLAGE Plate Staffordshire Gaudy Welsh Replacement 281 A Plate measures roughly 5.75" in diameter x 1.25" deep, and bottom is marked with "281" and "A" in a burnt orange Lustre tone. It's in pretty much perfect condition, with no flaws to be seen. Sold as pictured. Copied from the web: The name Gaudy Welsh entered the pottery collectors vocabulary and the antique world when Professor Howard Williams mentioned it in his 1978 publication.
