tarar @physicsnerd these were my moms earrings they are vintage - almost 50 year old earrings . I suspect that they are a resin and not true amber ( did I spell that right??) they are very cool!

physicsnerd It strongly resembles the color of amber, but you are probably right-- amber takes a while to solidify, and considering they're handmade, it's probably a resin. Very neat, I agree!

tarar @emilyvw I'm not sure how heavy these are I know that I can't handle heavy earrings however these did not bother me at all. I can take them to work tomorrow and weigh them. :-)
