Gorgeous lavender Amethyst ovals are set in a scalloped sterling silver setting. The backs are stamped 92.5. Posts and butterfly backs. 3/4” long x 1/2” wide. New from my studio in Florida. Made in USA. Amethyst is one of the most common--and popular!--gemstone materials. This variety of quartz ranges in color from deep purple to pale lavender depending on the presence of manganese and iron. In ancient times it was associated with wealth and power, and can be seen in the Crown Jewels.
