@kathyanne5 yes color is as show and would consider true red. Yes I would consider this a wind and weather repellent type of jacket. I would recommend going to Eddie Bauer website and review weather edge jackets for more info. I wore it thru the fall and spring.. i currently have a new spring and fall jacket that why this one is for sale. No longer need it
