Edwardian enameled flower convertible brooch designed by W.G. Clark Co.
Beautiful flower pendant-brooch, created in Newark New Jersey during the American Edwardian period, back in the 1905. This piece has been carefully crafted by W.G. Clark Co in the shape of a six-petals flower in solid yellow gold of 14 karats and embellished with applications of glass enamel, with gradations of greens and purples colors. The pendant is fitted at the reverse with a hinged pin bar with a mechanical lock to wear as a brooch and a hook to wear in a chain as a pendant.
The enamel work is exceptional and meticulous, far exceeding the details of the fibers and veins of the leaves. It is a little jewel with exquisite and exceptional details. Flowers symbolize a hope that love should not be forgotten.
