Electroformed Copper Pyrite Pendant This handmade, necklace is made with a polished pyrite cabochon. The pyrite stone is bezeled in electroformed copper, which gives a unique and organic texture to the copper bezel of the necklace. Once electroformed, the necklace is given a patinaed finish to accent the texture of the copper. The necklace is hung on an 18-inch figure eight antiqued bronze chain. The pyrite stone has been coated in a clear protectant to prevent chipping and to keep the crystal shiny. The mineral pyrite, or iron pyrite, is also known as fools gold because it’s metallic luster and pale brass-yellow hue bears resemblance to gold.
