Elm Design Oversized Cardigan, Black/White Houndstooth

This striking sweater, is one of two I have listed from the Icelandic designer, Elm Design. It is handmade in Peru. The fabric is a soft, spongy, boucle-like knit. The black portions have have flecks of tiny white threads. You get the impression of a subtle tweed. The patten sections are a houndstooth check. It has a deep and exaggerated shawl collar which extends down into wide front bands. The ribbed bottom gives the suggestion of a flounce. My mannequin was too narrow and slippery to put this sweater on for display, so I have photographed it flat. There is a horn button (see photo) attached to the side of one front. You can poke this through from behind on the other side for closure. There is a spare button on another ribbon. The back measurement from bottom of armhole to armhole is approximately 34", so you can count on about a 68" circumference. The size on the tag says "S". It is a very generous fit. The fiber content is 41% Suri Alpaca, 41% Wool, 18% Nylon.
