vgillick It does have a slit to allow for comfortable walking, but it is still a modest and ball worthy gown.

vgillick I apologize this particular gown DOES Not have a slit. I was looking at another formal gown. This one has a comfortable A feel and bell outward skirt that complements the wearer and moves while you dance. It is quite lovely and the fabric is great in all seasons.
