I adore this blouse!!! So originally I believe the ties were attached to the bottom to make a sort of wrap blouse. However the ties have been cut and are now removable little ties to make the blouse a tie front, or just open front if you remove the ties. I personally like the look a lot better this way(you can see the original way on other listing I saw when I searched the blouse) it also gives it multiple ways of wearing it.
