@terryfragola i don't know of any dansko clogs that have been made in USA
originally Poland, and there's a few rounds from Brazil, Portugal, and Morrocco that I have seen. my favorite are Brazil.
but mostly the ones these days seem to be out of China.
these ones aren't that old, my guess is China. i can check tomorrow♡but I always highlight in my listing if they were made in Not* china.
the ones I've seen suffer from "the crumble" have all been from Poland, sadly.

You have some that are refurbished? Is it an expensive process? I really love several of your embossed ones.

@terryfragola I share your vision for re-soling danskos, and it is not an easy process~~ as to my knowledge, dansko still has not made replacement Soles available for their clogs. So any structural repair/replacement work done on the clogs, relies souly on the creativity and skill of whatever Cobbler you can find.

@terryfragola I have come across some photos of repaired clogs along the way, which have had some re-soling work done, I should try to put together a collection of photos of the ones that I've seen. But these repairs were only for the outermost sole.

@terryfragola as far as the crumbling* you have mentioned here,that is an unfortunate phenomenon that has taken place with both dansko & sanita clogs. I do believe it may be isolated to a certain era/production line of their clogs.

@terryfragola From what I have seen, I believe* they have figured out the problem and improved the design/recipe for polyurethane composite they use to craft their bottoms from. But there is to my knowledge, no way to repair or stop the crumbling on the ones where this is an issue. and Dansko does not supply replacement bottoms.

@terryfragola it is my dream that dansko will create a workshop one day, where we can send all of our broken clogs, and they can give them new bottoms and a brand new start to life. it would be the right thing to do, for the spirit of their beautiful shoes!

@terryfragola as for the refurbishing work my clogs received, it is simply a deep cleaning & re*Newing process i put them through, that includes excavating & sanitizing deep inside the toe box, scrubbing the outSoles with toothbrush & soap, cleaning the Leathers, and applying conditioners inside & out. And lots of prayers and good wishes along the way.
