This listing is for a vintage, yellow Escada by Margaretha Ley Cape Coat. As it is Italian, the size is marked as 38. The coat is made of yellow virgin wool/angora/cashgora collarless dress coat features an attached scarf/muffler on the neckline, a four button closure, and cape sleeves. The interior is lined in logo print fabric and includes a hang chain, brand and fabric labels. It does have wear. Please review photos and ask questions before purchasing. I love this coat but I'm only 4ft 11in so it is too long on me. Please note the last two photos are not the actual coat but the same style coat to give people an idea of what it looks like since I am a terrible photographer.

launeedscoffee @shoemakerr I checked Google and a size 38 in Italy is about a 7.5 in US sizing. Will update with measurements later. Thanks!

shoemakerr @launeedscoffee thank you, I would appreciate measurements. Depending on the style, clothes can have different measurements even in the same size. I actually never heard of size 7.5, there’s 6 or 8 so actual measurements would be more helpful in gaging whether it would fit 🙏🏻

launeedscoffee @shoemakerr The collar to the bottom hem is 41 inches. Shoulder to shoulder is 17 inches but as it is a cape, it has wiggle room.

shoemakerr @launeedscoffee I’m still trying to figure out if it will fit, you said it’s a cape but it looks like it has sleeves. Is it possible to add a photo of it laying flat to show the shape. I would mostly need to know how wide the body is

launeedscoffee @shoemakerr sure I could take another photo after work. It's called a "cape coat" by the maker, so it does have very wide, loose sleeves that you slide your arms into but the style looks like a cape and then it has the scarf attached.

launeedscoffee @shoemakerr I found two pictures online of the same coat (in much newer condition) but it gives you an idea of what it looks like from the back and side. What size do you wear in US coats?

shoemakerr @launeedscoffee thank you for your efforts, but that’s my point, that size doesn’t matter, style/shape/ measurements do matter because we want to gage if the garment will fit or not, considering we can’t return on Poshmark if something doesn’t fit. Thank you, tho a measurement of width would’ve been helpful

launeedscoffee @shoemakerr I can do that. I provided some measurements already and can do width as well. Do you want shoulder to shoulder, that measurement is above. Or do you have another preference

shoemakerr @launeedscoffee I only need the width, like how wide is it in the bust and hips area. You can measure it laying flat. I don’t need the shoulder measurement or the sleeve, just the body🙏🏻❤️
