yukon849 Escada is DE sizing which is kind of one to one to US: 34=4, 36=6, so this would be a size 12. But Europe has kept original small waist measurements, no vanity sizing. FR sizing is used in Latin language derived (Romance language) countries France, Spain, Portugal. Except Italy which has IT sizing. DE sizing is used in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, and Scandinavian countries. I have yet to figure out the equivalent of EU sizing. US 6 is DE 36, FR 38, and IT 42.
