Estate Custom Evening Gown, Blue Gown Embellished with Glitter Designs

This amazing dress was bought from Ann Thompson's estate. She was the wife of the "King of Western Swing," Hank Thompson, most popular during the 1950s. The people handling her estate told me she had worn this dress to an awards show. I have not been able to find any pictures of her wearing it. The dress is a sheer blue with blue, silver, and gold designs on the fabric. The designs are in glitter and very intricate. The back has a button close at the neck and hook fasteners down to the waist where the zipper starts. There are button closures at each wrist. There is a little fishtail train in the back. The blue fabric is sheer with a nude colored lining. The lining has a couple of small tears inside on each side. I am leaving as is. The dress length is 55" Measurements taken flat. Pit to pit 19" Waist 16.5" Hips 19" This vintage dress is in good pre-owned condition with the noted flaws in the inside lining.
