justnicheenough this is giving me motivation to finally change out a belt and thoroughly check a motor so 45's play correctly and don't sound demonic on my victrola. 🤣🤣🤣

justnicheenough @vtgthreadsgrves I've got a smaller portable one that does 45's, but it isn't the same as my 1964 Victor Victrola with really cool marble stain job the guy did in the 70's after he got it from his parents. found it for $75 a half hour away. he took really amazing care of it. I KNOW they are made to be easy to switch out parts and I found them, but I'm still scared to do to much to my baby. lol.

vtgthreadsgrves @justnicheenough you could always take it in to be serviced. lots of local record stores service turntables or a stereo repair shop.

justnicheenough @vtgthreadsgrves we've got one that recently opened in town. small town. lol. asked them, cause my treble knob is dusty. think I will just have to order the whole control part and replacing that will be the easy way. long as it is never touched again it would be fine though. 🤣🤣 know the owner is a cousin and older, but haven't caught him in there yet. staff had no idea how to go about fixing one, they're younger, but passionate which is nice to see.

vtgthreadsgrves @justnicheenough yes, it's getting harder find knowledgeable people who work on Stereo and turntable equipment. good luck and let me know how it turns out.
