This is a gorgeous rare find. It is an original Maskit caftan with bell or butterfly sleeves embroidered in Israel and in good condition. The only thing i find is a quarter inch on one side slit that could be stitched. See picture, only noticeable on very close inspection. It is marked as a size 44. Dont miss out on the rare Israeli piece.

@leilate please do some research before posting rude comments: Maskit (Hebrew: משכית) is an Israeli fashion house founded in 1954 by Ruth Dayan, the first wife of Moshe Dayan. It was the first fashion house in Israel. Maskit produces textiles, clothing, objets d’art, and jewelry.

@mahncherie it’s clearly a thobe, just bc the company appropriated it doesn’t make it Israeli. Learn what cultural appropriation is. This is literally a Palestinian thobe that is deeply intertwined with Palestinian culture. They don’t even have a traditional dress this is just a rip off of Palestinian culture

@mahncherie @leilate is absolutely correct. This is a cultural appropriation of Palestinian culture and history and by WHO?! Moshe and Ruth Dayan perpetrators of Zionist Colonialism themselves. This item should be auctioned and proceeds sent the children of Gaza.
