This gorgeous Lalique Sculpture is made of Frosted and Clear Glass on the Hair of the Statue.
She is called the "Chrysis" and was originally made in the 30's and modeled after a car mascot.
She was a priestess of Hera in Ancient Greece who inadvertently caused a fire and the burning of the temple and she is molded as
a stunning naked female with her hair blowing in the wind.
The creator is the famous Rene Lalique of France and the period of manufacture is probably 1950 to 1959 because of the great detail
showing in the face and more.
She is signed on the bottom, Lalique R. France.
She is 5.5 inch tall and 7 inch wide from tip of hair to knees.
She is in excellent condition with no scratches or chips, just like new! I don't have the original box but she will be wrapped extremely well.
Her value now as a newly made piece is sold in the $1000s and I can't even find it in any department store anymore.
Let this piece of Art Sculpture grace your home with Beauty!
