gmariern @preetha70 when laying flat, the widest part of the bust is about 17.5 inches, which is consistent with 35 inch bust of standard US size 6. The high waist (where the waist seam is on this dress) is 16inches across. The Marie Zelie website at the time said 38 is equivalent to US size 8, but I found it closer to size 6. I hope this helps. I added pictures of my measuring tape on the dress is you want to check those out.
