sunandmoon352 @themodmarket ok no problem. I purchased it, but not sure why it cost $11.72. Odd, since shipping is $7.97 normally. Did you know for the future that you can go over the 5 pounds without incident? I’m really not trying to make a big deal out of it at all. Just letting you know something to consider in the future if someone’s stuff is only over by a pound or two. They still let you ship it.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to directly charge you the $7.97 fee for an additional shipping label through the platform. Instead, many sellers create a listing in their closet to cover this cost. When you purchase this listing, it’s like you’re buying an actual item. Here’s a breakdown of the costs: Price for Extra Shipping Label: $5.00 Poshmark Fee: -$2.95 Shipping Discount: -$2.02 Net Earnings

themodmarket @sunandmoon352 Net Earnings: $0.03 (Poshmark doesn’t allow us to charge solely for extra shipping, so sellers create a listing to generate the label. This means we don’t actually make any profit from this process.) Discounted Shipping Provided: $5.95 (instead of the usual $7.97) Total Calculation: $5.00 for the extra label $5.95 for discounted shipping $0.77 for sales tax Total: $11.72 Poshmark won’t let us create a listing for just the shipping cost, so we had to create a $5 listing with $7.97

Then, of course, Poshmark takes their 20%. This turns out to be less expensive than the cost of upgrading shipping for a package over 5 pounds. I hope this clears things up.
