FABULOUS 1940's BLACK STRAW HAT WITH BLACK FEATHER WING + FEATHER PUFF

This is an exceptional black straw hat from the 1940s'! The crown is short and is indented at the top. The brim is upturned at one side, and on the opposite side there is a large black feather wing, plus a beautiful fuchsia g=feather puff. Simply stunning and unique! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials.
