lassroyale @fashion_pincher - Hi! No worries; I'm more than happy to talk about it, because although I'm still learning, I've been really pleased with my photos as of late. For my photos, I typically use 3 things: 1.) a white muslin backdrop; 2.) a single, overhead photography/studio light w/boom arm; and 3.) a white reflective acrylic display base depending on the size of the object. And a tripod w/a phone mount because I take all my photos with my Note 8.

lassroyale @fashion_pincher - (cont'd) Really, that's all you need! I've found it comes down to controlling the light & the overhead boom arm light can basically cover all of my needs. I just turn off the light in the area I've set up in, so the boom light is the only source lighting my object. Then it's a matter of manually adjusting the exposure, brightness, temp,"shutter speed", etc. until you get a nice, clear white background in your photo - or as close to one as you can.

lassroyale @fashion_pincher - (cont'd) I typically still do minor touch-up in post, but it doesn't take me nearly as long as it used to. I generally just make sure the background is as pure white as it should be, square-ify it, and I'm ready to post! Whew! Sorry if that was more info than you wanted/needed, lol. Hopefully some of it was helpful. 😉

fashion_pincher @lassroyale I was having problems with my lighting when I used a white background. I couldn’t get things to look right. So I scratched it and went back to my “gray” one but I really don’t like it.
