caseys_closet @eclecticegret Hi! The weathers been nice! The last few days. Depends on how long your gonna be here for. There's tons of shopping downtown where lots you can walk around to see and do. There's ferries, could go for a ride to see the islands and the sound, not sure of times and days? Go online and see Seattle underground city tours. Fascinating and fun. If your here for more time I could suggest some other stuff, it's a drive and you'd need a car but scenic outdoor neat places. Mount St. Helens tour, the ocean beaches, lots of cool stuff. Is a job bringing you here to possibly live? Retiring? If your thinking bout certain areas let me know. I can give the pros and cons. I've lived here all my life. Oh yeah! There's the Woodland Park Zoo and aquirium in Seattle, and the Dale Chihuly glass museum in Tacoma. The glass museum is all hand made glass articles and sculptures. Dale Chihuly is known worldwide and is from the northwest here. The LeMay Car museum in Tacoma is very nice! and just opened bout 6 months ago. Over 3000 vintage, 30's. 40's 50's 60's 70's car on display. It's the largest public car display in the whole United States. There is a Historical museum in Tacoma too, that tells the history of Washington and the northwest. Lol tons to do if you have the time. Money wise it's not that bad, not like going to Disneyland. One more free thing to drive by and check out and see in Tacoma is Stadium High School. Built in the mid 1800's it's been used in lots of movies. All the stuff I suggested you could go online to get a better idea of and times and prices. Any other questions let me know! Besides the rain! Lol it's nice here.

eclecticegret @caseys_closet you're the best! Thanks so much for all your suggestions. I will be there for 3 days. We are joking we will do drugs so we can stay up 24/7 and see it all hehe :-) I think pike place and a ferry ride are musts. If it rains we will do some of the indoor stuff like the aquarium or museums. I want to walk around and take the light rail maybe to see how it compares to ours here in MN. Will prob branch out and do wine country and mountains on the next visit when we have more time. Anyway thanks again! :-)

caseys_closet @eclecticegret lol, we'll have fun! Let me know what you did and how the trip went. If your from mn you'll like it way better here. The weather and winters here are mild compared to back there. Yeah you gotta check out the rail and the Seattle center area, that's cool too! Get the chance go to (EMP) Experience Music Project, really weird shaped building by Seattle center. Has and tells the history of music and bands. Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, and Heart are few local bands from round here. You could spend hours at that place, it's cool.

kriskris68 YAY...Go Seahawks! I'm from Seattle too. I did my first 21 years there and getting ready to move back after I get a kidney transplant. I don't know how I'm going to adjust moving from super hot AZ to super cold Seattle but no matter how old a girl gets (45), she still needs her mommy. Mommy's my BFF. I grew up on Capitol Hill and she's still there. I was a competitive gymnast, went to St. Joseph's, Seattle Prep, then my mom's worst nightmare...Garfield (I begged to go there). Then I moved at 21 to Cali but I wish I had gone back to Seattle instead of AZ. Mommy and my step-daddy taught for Seattle Public Schools for over 30 years and I must brag...my step-daddy just won a teachers award from the Seahawks and received lots of neat perks. He has a locker with the players, had lunch with some if them and got tickets to a game. Now they had season tickets for years and there seats are super close so he gave his tickets to his bro but he did get to go in the field at half time and was flashed on the jumbo tron thing throughout the game. Also, the PTA at Leschi elementary managed to get the gym (he was a gym teacher retired this 2013) named after him. I was so proud. Anyways, I haven't even looked through your closet yet. I just saw Seattle, and Go Seahawks! And got even more homesick lol!!! I guess I'll take a peek now. Sorry if I bored you!
