@dina_fiore Thank you Diana. It has been a very difficult month. We just laid my 72 yr old Aunt to rest 3 weeks ago and now it’s my brother-in-law. It is so hard watching my sister go through this. He was only 60 yrs old. He and my sister had put in for the date they were going to retire which was the last day of 2022. It’s been tragic. But we all have certainly woken us up as a family. We will never ever miss the chance to say I love you and hug really tight again.

Please feel free to read it. I told her some details. You are such a wonderful friend. Thank you again for being there for me when you are going through your own situation. @dina_fiore @tonistwinkles Today was a long day. It’s like “hurray up and wait”. We are doing my brother in law Tom’s Memorial on Wednesday. A lot of his family are flying up from Tennessee and Georgia, plus My sister and Tom had a group of couples that the traveled with and went out together.

@dina_fiore @tonistwinkles There is going to be a lot of people there. We learned from my Aunt’s memorial three weeks ago; we had to add an hour on to the calling hours because their were so many people. My brother in laws will be that plus both sides of the family.

I don’t want to have to explain everything over and over. I appreciate you both. Thank you so very much for your support. Without you two right now, I wouldn’t be doing as well. I appreciate all you’ve done and continue to do in light of my family’s bad fortune recently.

@poshstreetluxe How do you deal with two unexpected deaths; both heart attacks. My brother-in-law was 60. He and my sister were set to retire at the end of this year. My Aunt was only 72. And 18 months ago, we lost my 50 yr old cousin who just retired from the Department of Homeland Security after putting his years in as a Marine. Then we have my Mom and my Uncle both in their upper 80’s and we realize that things are not going to get any better in the next few years.

@lhaag721 It’s really one day at a time, but I really don’t know. My emotions are all over the place. I’m heartbroken, but can’t cry yet for some reason. He died of Kidney Cancer at 52. I’m sick over it. My Uncle passed away from a heart attack just prior to that, and my youngest cousin has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Same family (My mom’s side- sister). They are all in NY (where I’m originally from) and I’m stuck in NC rn.

@lhaag721 I just can’t figure out what is worse- losing a loved one quickly or seeing them suffer. Maybe it doesn’t matter in the end, as both are absolutely awful. It’s just so heartbreaking. I’m very sorry for you:

@poshstreetluxe It just doesn’t seem real at times. But, my sister is just heartbroken. It is awful. The Memorial will be next Wednesday. There are a lot of his family flying in. My sister and Tom downsized a few years ago from a real big family home to the little Lake House they are on now. She already has decided she won’t stay there. They planned to retire at the end of the year.

@poshstreetluxe Wow your family is getting hit as hard as mine. About a year and a half ago my.cousin Tony who had just retired from the Department of Homeland Security, he was a Marine and 50 years old. He had a heart attack and died in May of 2022. That was very hard. And now these two tragedies to top that off with.

@lhaag721 Lynda, that is all just awful. We do have a lot in common. My Aunt is not speaking she’s so overwhelmed, heartbroken and grief stricken. So I’m distraught for her - and feeling that way myself. But, I’m all over the place. Right now- numb. Pushing buttons on posh mindlessly. I was going to say the same thing- we can help each other through. Definitely get some sleep, that’s what I’m going to try to do if I can. 💔

@goldenpolkadot I understand. Since my family lost both my Aunt and Brother-in-law two weeks apart in August, Thanksgiving was our first Holiday without them. We got through it but, the day was a bit somber. All we can do is be glad that we had them with us for the time that we did. He is still with you. He’s the Angel on your shoulder. 😇 ❤️💚 🥰

@musemax @toopretty This will be surgery #5 on my left knee and 15 total number of surgeries from a car accident in 2015. If this goes well I will have one strong leg! It will change what I can do going forward. Nervous but, ready. Thanks for the support. Once I am staple post-op I will but a quick comment up. I love All of My Posh Friends. Especially meeting new people in the Lives.

@musemax It’s not a straightforward knee replacement. They cannot use a pre-fab unit in me. This is the sixth surgery to rebuild my knee. I also have a fractured tibia on the plateau that has to be fixed. The will use robotic technology to build a new knee inside of my leg and fix the fracture.

This is what they call a “Complex” Knee replacement because they have to build it in my leg; they can’t use pre-made pieces like they do for most knee replacements. I should only be in the hospital for one to two nights and I hope to come home and do PT as an outpatient.
