Frank & Seder has a historical place in Pittsburgh’s history. The store was started in the early 1900s when Jewish immigrants Jacob H Frank and Isaac Seder opened the wholesale women’s wear business in Pittsburgh. They expanded to Detroit and Philadelphia, but this coat was purchased in the main store in Pgh.
It does not feel like real beaver fur, but it could be since I can’t find faux fur coats advertised anywhere from that decade.
It’s in pretty good shape. It has a “stored for a long time” smell, the tag is loose (pictured), and the sleeve cuffs are a small circumference (7” around). Lined with polyester. No closure- it’s open.
Size: S/M (no size tags- would fit medium, but the cuff openings are for someone smaller)
Length: 38”
Armpit to Armpit: 24”
