FRENCH IVORY BROOCH DEPOSE SILHOUETTE , (CELLULOID), GIRL IN CARRIAGE ANTIQUE

An adorable antique silhouette brooch pin, made in France. Celluloid, or French Ivory, this pin has a gold-filled rope frame and a trombone clasp. The pin is in great vintage condition and measures 2” wide and about 1 1/2” tall. Grandma had it in a box from Cartier, New Bedford Mass, but I have no idea if it was originally in this box, although it fits perfectly. They made a lot of these popular pins in the 1920's, but I think this one is particularly sweet, as it depicts a young Mademoiselle riding in a lovely open carriage with her mare's little foal, following along.
