Fathy Mahmoud was an acclaimed artist, known for his expertise as well as his multiple lauded works of art around Egypt. He took it upon himself to provide ‘art for millions,’ by way of porcelain. He expanded to the city of Alexandria and founded the Egyptian Porcelain Company in 1942 which has developed into a lifestyle staple and one of the most significant porcelain manufacturers in the world. He passed away in 1982.
Limoges is a city in S central France, on the Vienne River: a center of the porcelain industry since the 18th century.
