One of the innovators of the Harlem "STRIDE" style which lead to modern jazz piano. Best known for "Ain't Misbehavin", "Honeysuckle Rose", "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie". See photos for song list. He was the most popular entertainer of his time in song, piano, & humor. Grammy Hall of Fame 1984 & 1999. Sadly. he died at the height of his career of pneumonia at age 39.
